Earlier this week, I actually made some significant changes to a book I started writing last year, which was practically dead until recently. I've also come up with some new ideas that might actually work, so I think I'm going to start writing it again. However, some of these ideas I'm coming up with are going to make the story a bit more complicated than it is, so it'll probably be longer than I originally intended. (This thing actually started out as a short story, but then I wanted to expand it a little...)
Anyway, I've decided to mention it here because it might be violent and ridiculous enough to hold the attention of a Newgrounds member. So read the first two chapters and tell me what you think. Just keep in mind that everything I've written so far is practically an introduction, so don't expect a lot of quick plot development, and don't expect to understand exactly what's going on. If you're the slightest bit interested in what happens next, after reading the beginning of the story, I've succeeded.
I'd also like to clear a few things up so you all know where the story is going:
First of all, don't worry, the people in the story are not vampires. I intentionally hinted toward this possibility in the first chapter, but it's not true, so ignore the cannibalism for now. Why not vampires? Because vampires are by far the worst cliché in the history of science fiction and fantasy, and I've decided to do something a little more original. Writing a vampire novel right now would be almost as bad as writing another Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter knock-off. Every 13-year-old idiot with Microsoft Word is doing it.
What I'm doing in this story is similar to the whole vampire thing, in the beginning. Then it gets a bit more complicated later on. You'll see. I haven't come up with a name for what the so-called "bad guys" in the story actually are, but let's just say that the Grim Reaper might be one of them, and he's a particularly nice one. More details and other bullshit on my stupid blog.
TLDR? That's what she said.
The story probably won't interest anyone on Newgrounds, anyway, since it's not related to anime and doesn't involve rape. Sorry faggots.
